Baby's Day Out

Description

Baby's Day Out, based on the 1994 Twentieth Century Fox film by Patrick Read Johnson of the same name, takes the concept of Lemmings and applies it to a new environment. You are a winged emoticon, the all-seeing guardian that has to keep a crawling baby away from a bunch of moronic kidnappers. You have no control over the baby itself, but you can possess an array of objects such as running shoes, various guns, blocks, televisions, creatures... in a race against time to guide the baby to the flag which ends the level. Not all danger can be avoided; sometimes you have to take command of a creature and shoot enemies to clear the path.The platform puzzles have been divided over six settings, which consist out of four to five levels each. The escape takes you to the kidnapper's hideout, the rooftops, a department store, the zoo, the city park and finally a construction area. You can play the bonus game Pound the Thugs upon progressing to the next setting. Gameplay usually comes down to trial and error, but you have an unlimited amount of continues and a special feature will let you scout the entire area, freed from all barriers, for a short time.
