NBA Jam

Description

NBA Jam is a two-on-two basketball game You can play any NBA team, and you can play as players like Barkley, Starks, Pippen, and Grant. Each human player controls a single player, so choose your squad wisely to take team-mate skill into account. The game is action-oriented, and players can perform unrealistic slam-dunks. Full performance statistics are automatically recorded. The play clock and 3-point line apply, but other rules are largely overlooked.

Cheats

Always on Fire Mode

At the Tonight's Match-up Screen enter the following code...

Hit any button 7 times then hold Up and press B + C

If you entered the code correctly you should be on fire the whole game.

Display Shot Percentage

At the Tonight's Match-up Screen enter the following code...

Hit any button then hold A + B until tip-off

If you entered the code correctly the screen should show your shot percentage in the corner of the screen

Easier Interceptions

At the Tonight's Match-up Screen enter the following code...

Hit any button 15 times and spin the D-Pad clock-wise, on the 15th time hold it down until tip off.

If you entered the code correctly you should be able to steal the ball easier.

Juice Mode

Defeat all 27 NBA teams, and you will unlock the juice mode, which speeds the game up exponentially.

If you wish to play the game at an increased pace, and haven't defeated all the NBA teams, press A, B or C 13 times and hold B and C at the Tonight's Match up screen.

At the name entry screen enter the following as your name...

A - I - R (press A button)

Then when you play the game this character will be one of your players.

N - E - T (press B button)

Then when you play the game this character will be one of your players.

At the name entry screen enter the following as your name...

A - R - K (press A button)

Then when you play the game this character will be one of your players.

Then when you play the game this character will be one of your players.

Power Up Defense #1

Press A, A, A, A, A and hold Down at the Tonight's Matchup screen. This will increase your ability to goal tend without getting called for it, and also allow you to steal the ball easier.

Power Up Defense #2

Press B, B, A, C, C, Start at the Tonight's Matchup screen. If you have done it correctly, you will see 'Power-up Def' briefly where your turbo is during the tip off.

Power-up Dunks

Move the D-Pad 360 degrees and press A, B or C 13 times at the Tonight's Match Up screen. If it has been done correctly, it will appear over the turbo bar at the tip off. You can now dunk from basically anywhere on the court. The cheat will not work if the player has a low dunk ability.

Power-up Fire

At the Tonight's Match up screen, press A, B or C seven times and then hold Up, B and C until the tip off. It will notify you if the cheat is done correctly above the turbo meter. You will be 'on-fire' the entire duration of the match.

Power-up Intercept

At the Tonight's Match up screen, move the directional pad 360 degrees, then press A, B or C fifteen times. If entered correctly, confirmation will appear over your players turbo meter. This cheat gives an increased chance of intercepting the opponent's passes.

Power-up Turbo

At the Tonight's Match up screen, press A, B or C five times, then hold the A, B and C buttons. The confirmation will appear over your turbo meter. You will now have unlimited turbo.

Secret Characters

To use the secret characters, enter the first two letters of their initials at the intials entry screen, then move the cursor over the third letter, and hold down the start button. Press the indicated button and presto.

Shot Percentage Indicator

At the Tonight's Match up screen, press A, B or C once, and then hold A, B and Down until the tip off. This will show a small box near the timer, which indicates the percentage chance of a shot going in.

Stronger Defense

At the Tonight's Match-up Screen enter the following code...

Hit any button 4 times then one more time but this time hole it until the tip-off

If you did this correctly your defense should be stronger than normal

Unlock All Powerups

At the name entry screen, go to S. Hold Start and press C. Go to N. Hold Start and press B. Go to K. Hold Start and press C.

Unlock Power Turbo

At the Tonight's Matchup screen, press C, A, C, A, C, A.
