Description

PilotWings 64 is the update to the original PilotWings for SNES. The gameplay is somewhere between a flight simulation and an action/arcade experience. Players start with a limited number of craft and earn access to other craft and bonuses upon successful completion of set criteria.

Secrets

Night on Holiday Island.

Holiday Island is always played during the sunny hours of the day. However, you can change that by flying into the small cave with the river flowing from it near the castle. The best way to do this is to use the jetpack, because it is easier to maneuver. Once you fly to the end of the cave, a sound will ring indicating that you have now changed the time to night. Enjoy the full moon and windy conditions of the nocturnal landscape.

Warp from New York City to Los Angeles.

As you are flying around Little States with the jetpack, you can warp from New York City to Los Angeles. In New York, there is a big greenish building. It's front doors are open (it's the only building that you can enter in NYC.) Go through the narrow hallway, and once you emerge, you will be in Los Angeles. This saves you a lot of cross country travel.

Warp from Seattle to Florida

In Seattle, there is an airport hangar with its door open. If you go inside it with any vehicle and come out, you will have warped to the Space Center in Florida. You can also warp from Florida back to Seattle.

Cheats

Access Birdman in Everfrost Island

To open up the Birdman event for Everfrost Island, you must get a medal on all 3 Cannonball Tests.

Get the Birdman

To warp to the Birdman stage, fly under the bridge on the first level. Grab the star and you'll be free as a bird. You can also become the birdman by flying to New York (on Little States Island) with the rocketbelt and touching the golden star in Central Park. In Everfrost Island use the rocket belt in the first test, look to your side and you will see waterfalls. Go to the right most waterfall and go to the cavern. Keep going until you see another waterfall, fly down and you will see the star that warps you to the birdman stage.

Unlock Cannonball Tests

To unlock the Cannonball tests, you must complete all the Hang Glider, Rocket Belt, and Gyrocopter tests in A Class. You must win a silver medal for each vehicle to unlock it.

Unlock Jumble Hopper Tests

To unlock the Jumble Hopper tests, you must complete all the Hang Glider, Rocket Belt, and Gyrocopter tests in Pilot Class. You must win a medal for each vehicle to unlock it.

Unlock Skydiving Tests

To unlock the Skydiving tests, you must complete all the Hang Glider, Rocket Belt, and Gyrocopter tests in B Class. You must win a medal for each vehicle to unlock it.

Wario Cameo

When you see the replica of Mount Rushmore, shoot at the giant Mario face with the Gyrocopter missles or the cannonball shot. If you hit him, the face will change to that of Wario.
