Description

Since Mario rescued Princess Peach in Super Mario 64, he's been thoroughly enjoying his free time. Bowser hasn't been causing too much trouble, so Mario and his friends have decided to take a trip to the golf course. Waialae Country Club wouldn't allow a couple of underdressed plumbers to become members, so they've come up with their own golf game for Nintendo 64. Mario Golf 64 features an all-star line up of 10 golfers from Nintendo's cast of video game celebrities, including Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Each golfer has an individual set of strengths and weaknesses. A highlight of Mario Golf 64 is a special "Time Attack Mode," where players must compete to finish a round of golf as quickly as possible. Mario Golf 64 features an impressive line-up of six courses, which means you'll have to master a total of 108 holes. An optional "Club Handicap Mode" ensures that you stay close to the competition, so Luigi won't get too frustrated if he falls behind. Even though the golfers are cartoons, the physics are as realistic as possible. The CPU calculates the exact ball movement based on wind direction, the strength of the strike, and any spin you may choose to place on the ball.

Cheats

1st Camp, Hyrule Cup Code

At the main menu hold L+R(or Z+R) and select the clubhouse option. You'll access the secret Code Entry screen. Enter the following code:

2nd Camp, Hyrule Cup Code

On the Password Screen, enter: 5VW689O6. Plum must be selected as a golfer for this code to work.

Access Password Screen

On the Main Menu, select 'Clubhouse', and then press A+Z+R. This will enable the password screen.

Bowser

To play as the great King Bowser, you will have to face him in a match under charcter mode, and beat him.

Cheer for your opponent

To cheer for your opponent, press any the D-Pad in any direction.

Different clothes

To give your player different clothes, hold a C button when choosing them.

Different Costume

On the character select screen, press any one of the C-Pad buttons and hold it while you pick a character.

Donkey Kong

In order to unlock D.K, you must get 30 stars in the ring shot mode.

Luigi

In oder to play as Luigi, you must play against him in the ''character'' mode and beat him.

Maple

In order to unlock Maple, you must get 50 Birdy Badges in the tournament mode

Play left handed

To play left handed, hold Z or L when choosing your player.

Sonny

To play as Sonny, you must beat him in the character mode.

Special Tournament Mode

At the main menu, hold the L Button + R Button and select the Clubhouse option, you'll access the Code Entry screen, from there, enter the following:

Taunt Your Opponent

Press any of the four C buttons during your opponents turn to taunt him.

Unlock All Secret Characters

When ''Press Start'' appears at the title screen, press the following:

Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right (D-Pad for all), C-Down, C-Down, C-Left, C-Left, C-Left, C-Right, C-Right, C-Right.

Unlock Metal Mario

To unlock a metal version of the famous plumber, get all 108 different birdie medals.

Unlocking the Characters

Luigi: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Yoshi: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Sonny: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Wario: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Harry: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Mario: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Bowser: Beat him on Get Character mode.
Maple: Get at least 50 Birdie Badges.
Metal Mario: Get all 108 Birdie Badges.
Donkey Kong: Complete at least 30 of the 36 Ring Shot holes.

Wario

To unlock Wario, you must face, and beat him in the character mode

Yoshi

To play as the little green dino, you must face, and beat him in the character mode.

Glitches

Retry a hole

When playing for a new character or anything, to re-do a hole if you mess up save and quit and then load that game again. It will start the hole over again.
