Description

Excitebike 64 is an update to the original Excitebike, for the NES. The outrageous jumps and precision timing required in the original have been translated into a modern 3D racing game.There are several game modes to choose from. First, there is a season mode with multiple skill levels. Completing a 5-race season in first place unlocks special tracks and more difficult classes. Second, there is a exhibition mode which allows you and up to 3 other people to choose a single track to race on. Third, there is a time trial mode in which you try to get the best times on the 20 tracks.Finally. there are multiple special tracks. Some of the special tracks include a point-to-point race through the desert, a hill-climb competition, motocross soccer, and a pixel-perfect conversion of the original Excitebike. Excitebike 64 also includes a track editor for building your own competitions.

Cheat Menu

At the main menu, enter the following code to display the Cheat menu:

Hold L + C-Right + C-Down + A.

Cheats

Access Mirror Mode

After activating the cheat menu, enter YADAYADA as your code.

Activate all tricks

To get every trick for each rider, type in TRICKSTER on the cheat menu. To activate the cheat menu, press and hold L, right C, and bottom C, then tap A on the main menu. This particular code will let you do every single trick in the game.

Big Heads and Invisible Bikers

First, on the main menu, press and hold L, right C, bottom C, and A. When the cheat menu comes up, enter BLAHBLAH for Big Heads and INVISRIDER to make the bikers invisible.

Bonus Stunts

At the main menu, hold L, Down C, Right C, and press Start. A new screen called ''Enter A Cheat Code'' will come up.

For bonus stunts, enter the code SHOWOFF

Debug mode

To unlock debug mode, go to the cheat menu and put IMGOINGNOW as a code. After that press enter. You have now unlocked debug mode

Downhill mode

Enter WHEEEEEEEE for a password and you will unlock downhill mode. Now you can play the hill game going down.

Invincibility

At the enter password menu enter ''MOWER''.

Night Mode

At the main menu screen, press and hold these buttons in this order:

Hold L Shoulder, then hold Right C, then hold Down C. While holding these buttons, press A and the Enter a Cheat Code menu will appear, on this screen, you may enter:

MIDNIGHT for night racing

Odd Color Mode

At the enter password screen enter ''ROTCOLS''.

To see a picture of the developers when you view the credits, enter UGLYMUGS into the cheat menu. When you look at the credits, you'll see them.

Shortcut for Construction Yard

Once you reach the split in the road for the Construction Yard level (in the Platinum tracks), turn right. Once you go cross with the other road twice, build your speed up to 50 MPH or so (higher is better). Once you see the beam, aim towards it and drive on the concrete that is currently the shell for the building. Turn left, but don't do it as soon as you land. Once you get close to the wall, turn left. You'll still be driving on the concrete, but you'll see a jump ahead leading you back to the main course. You'll jump a place or two in the pack.

Small Heads and Beat This! Mode

For your bikers to have small heads, enter PINHEAD on the Enter Cheat screen. For Beat This! Mode, an extremely tough difficulty level, enter PATWELLS on the Enter Cheat screen.

Transparent Rider Mode

At the enter password menu enter ''XLURIDER''

Unlock Secret Game Modes

To Unlock the NES Excitebike game, complete the Tutorial Mode.

To unlock the Soccer Mode, get 1st in the Silver Round of the Novice Season.

To unlock the Hill Climb, get 1st in the Gold Round of the Amature Season.

To unlock the Excite 3-D track, get 1st in the Challenge Round of the Pro Season.

Wheelie and spin around before starting a race

Before a race actually begins, you see yourself in a spinning camera mode. While the camera spins around you, you can make a wheelie AND spin around in circles, in one place. First, hold the Z button and pull back on the control stick. While you're in a wheelie, move your bike left and right. While you do this, the camera will stay in place. You can do this for as long as you want, but if you let go of all the buttons, the race will begin and you'll be left behind. So, make sure you spin back in front to begin.
