Description

Mach Rider is a motorcycle combat game set in a post-apocalyptic future. You, as Mach Rider, must make your way across ten sectors to reach the city before it gets taken over by the enemy. To do so, you'll have to contend with aggressive drivers that will try to force your way off the road, rocks, obstacles, and of course - the road's serpentine tracks. If you get destroyed, your Mach Rider will break apart, but then attempt to reform himself so that you can continue.There are three different play modes in Mach Rider.On the Fighting Course, you'll pick one of two possible paths. Try to reach the goal while shooting down the enemy or forcing him off the road (you score more points by bumping off your enemies). You get unlimited lives for the first stage, but have to finish the remaining courses in three lives or less.On the Endurance and Solo Courses, you'll be required to drive for a certain distance before the time runs out. The Endurance Course throws enemies at you, but the Solo course leaves the track wide open.There is also a level editor (similar to the one in Excitebike) that allows you to create your own Endurance Course tracks (sadly, these are erased once you turn your NES off).
