Chakan is a fairly standard platform game in which you control a dead guy (Chakan has lost his soul) through many levels of hack and slash platforming. The ultimate goal is defeat all the bad-guys and so finally achieve inner-peace.The story-line (if you can call it that), does give this game an interesting image and it is much darker than most other titles available on the Genesis. |

In the land of Lorin, Lady Ninita has been kidnapped by the evil necromancer Demiwind. Sir Burkelot has to fight his way through ten levels to be reunited with his lover. Having mastered the ancient art of Dragon Style Kung Fu, he has many types of attack at his disposal: a sword attack, knee to the chest for close range, a side kick for far range, a flying dragon kick and a shoulder butt.
